I'm a law professor and associate dean at Western New England University in Springfield, Mass., where I teach Torts, Products Liability, and related courses. I've merged my personal enjoyment of amusement parks into my scholarly work by paying attention to, and occasionally writing about, amusement ride safety. I also am co-editor of the TortsProf Blog. And, to prove my amusement nerd cred, I was part of Holiday World's "Secret Committee of Nine" in the planning for The Voyage. I haven't counted recently, but I've ridden on well over a hundred coasters and, although I write about accidents, I generally think going to amusement parks is one of the safest things you can do.
